Leading HR experts have provided top strategies to help employers aid their workers in avoiding parental burnout, in honour of World Parent Mental Health Day 2024, held on 27th January.
Currently, over 70% of parents are finding it a struggle to raise their children, according to UNICEF’s most recent report on parental burnout, released in the last quarter of 2023. Signs of burnout include disrupted sleep, depression and lack of motivation, while strategies that employers can deploy to tackle it include fostering an open culture and keeping good communication.
It’s normal to feel some level of stress as a parent – but there is a huge difference between this type of stress and serious parental burnout, so it’s good to know what to watch out for and the steps organisations can take to help their staff combat it.
